# SadServers

[SadServers](https://sadservers.com/) is an interactive online platform for practicing Linux server troubleshooting directly in the browser, with no local setup required.

SadServers has a CTF-like spirit, similar to Hack The Box or TryHackMe, and lets you test your skills at log analysis, connection issues, disk space or permission problems, just like a real sysadmin would.

It covers a wide range of system and infrastructure topics (Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, databases and monitoring) across several difficulty levels. A timer adds time pressure to stay close to handling a real production incident, and each solved scenario earns points.

The following sections are my write-ups, the notes I took while working through these challenges: the reasoning I followed, the leads I explored (good and bad), and the solutions I settled on for each case.

Each challenge is named after a city or place around the world, hence section names such as "Paris", "Batumi", "Cairo" or "Manhattan".
